Math templates make my life easier knowing that my warm-up is all set to go. They also become a predictable routine for students, helping with classroom management at the bell, which sets the tone for the entire class. In this post, I show and link all of the math templates I've made that are all free to download. I hope they make your life a bit easier, too.

Algebra 1 template |
This algebra 1 template is the result of a teacher seeing my algebra 2 template and wanting one for her students. Students are given one piece of information (either the graph, table or equation) and then fill in the rest. Here is the full-page version of the template inside a page protector:
There's a 1/2-page version of the algebra 1 template and a full-page version, as well as versions using f(x) and y. I have used math templates for warm-ups, closers, exit tickets or as a way to quickly check student understanding in the middle of a lesson.
To use this algebra 2 template, I project onto the board either a graph or an equation and students fill in the rest from there. For a more advanced task, you could even give a domain and range and have students figure out a function that fits the criteria.

Projectile motion template |
We use this projectile motion template a lot during our quadratics unit! It gives students repeated practice finding a good graphing calculator window.
Here are all of the math templates I have made so far. You can download each for free.
These are great! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! I am wondering if you have any recommendations for similar templates for data analysis at the upper elementary (graph interpretation etc). I have searched on TPT as well as on pinterest. I am looking for exactly what you are showing, except those earlier concepts.
ReplyDeleteI would love to do this! Would you please email me at scaffoldedmath@gmail.com so I can ask some questions about what you feel should be included? My upper elementary understanding is a little fogggy:)
DeleteA great set of resources - many thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI was very disappointed that I am not teaching Alg this year but still downloaded these because they are AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with all of us!
Hi Donna! Thank you so much! I'm not sure what you are teaching this year but I am just about to add a Geometry template...
DeleteI hate when I see great resources that I have tgo file for later and not be able to dig right into them!
DeleteI know what you mean! My memory doesn’t do well with all that :)
DeleteHello, I am trying to download the Algebra 2 Template but it seems to send me back to the original post. Please advise! These are so useful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is annoying of me! I will fix that! Thank you! Here is the link to the free download: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Algebra-2-Warm-up-Template-2297000
DeleteYou have great ideas.thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Irina!
DeleteDo you have one for Exponential Functions?
ReplyDeleteHi Carey, I'd maybe use the Algebra 2 sheet for exponentials. But if you have something in mind, I am happy to make a specific one for you. My email is shana@scaffoldedmath.com
DeleteDo you have any templates or quick checks for 6th grade math?
ReplyDeleteI don't but I am happy to make one. My email is shana@scaffoldedmath.com
DeleteI am so smitten with these. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYay! :) I hope you’re having a great year!
DeleteThese are AWESOME! Thanks for the Freebies!
ReplyDeleteIt's my pleasure! I hope you are having a great summer!
DeleteI love your resources and blog. I would really like more Geometry templates to incorporate into Geometry. Lessons on circles where they use dot paper to discover the theorems perhaps?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your suggestion. I've never used dot paper to discover geometric theorems, but I will look into it and see what I can do.
DeleteI have a renewed push for how I will be teaching this year. These Algebra templates are the best suppport for stations and group work. I am planning on laminating them for table work and then print for a quick formative. You are so very gracious in sharing... thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found them! I used the Algebra 2 warm up template most days in my algebra 2 class. It really simplifies that part of the class for me and made it so that I wasn't scrambling daily to find a warm up.
DeleteLove these! Anything with 6th grade math content would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I haven't made any for 6th, only because I don't know what would be most helpful to include. My email is shana@scaffoldedmath.com if you'd like to chat about a 6th grade template!
DeleteI was trying to make daily warm ups for my 7th and 8th ate classes. This just saved me a ton of work. Thank you! I love all that you for the benefit of people becoming better math teachers for all our students!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Louise! Templates end up saving a ton of work for sure!
DeleteThank you so much! These will be very helpful! Totally save me time. You are so creative. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteThank-you, these are great!
